Trial Lessons

Do you think you would like to take up the challenge of learning to fly, but are not sure if you have the aptitude for it, or perhaps you just want a 'one off' flight in a light aircraft or maybe you are looking for an unusual gift for someone.

The answer is a trial lesson!

Trial lessons are a convenient and affordable way of gaining that initial flight experience and if you book your trial lesson in our four seat Piper Archer you can take two friends along as well - even better value !

Your trial lesson will begin with a 30 minute briefing during which your instructor will explain the basic principles of flight and the fundamental controls of the aircraft. You will then proceed out on to the airfield where you and the instructor will carry out the pre-flight check of the aircraft. You will then take the captains seat and, with the instructor seated beside you, start the engine and taxi to the runway. A few more checks are undertaken and then you 'line up' for take-off. As you accelerate along the runway the instructor will ask you to gently 'pull back' on the control column and you will take to the air and experience the joys of piloting like thousands of other people just like you. If, after your trial lesson you do decide to take up the challenge and take the full course your trial lesson will count towards your flight training.
