Airfield situated 3 nm north of Luton CTR/CTA.
Glider flying Sat and Sun throughout the year and also on some weekdays during the summer. Grass areas poor in places, remain within the confines of the runways and taxiways. Runways marked with white sideboards.
Avoid overflying BAe complex and the firing range.
Circuits when available, at 1000' QFE, all LH except 13RH and 27R variable circuits.

Arrivals: Standard overhead joins, but when gliding in progress, pilots will be required to route via VRP's - Blue Lagoon (140 deg M/2.25nm),Chcksands (300deg M/2.5 nm) or the Water Tower (060deg M/3.5nm).

Departures: Rwy 02 - Do not turn left before 700'; Rwy 31 - Turn 15deg left at 300' on climbout. Other runways standard departures.
Free-Fall parachuting may take place from 3500ft amsl and exceptionally upto FL150.

Henlow Flying Club is located on a Royal Air Force airfield, consequently it is necessary for all visitors to be in possession of a valid access permit. These are easily obtainable at the main gate. To avoid unnecessary delay, all visitors are requested to telephone the club prior to arrival so the issuing officer can be notified of your anticipated arrival. During office hours passess are issued by the Passes Office. At all other times passes will be issued by the Guardroom.
